1. Introduction

Popsi ("we", "our", "the app") is a children's educational app designed for children ages 3–5. We take the privacy of children very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the Popsi app available on Apple's App Store.

Popsi is designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Apple's App Store Review Guidelines for kids' apps.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from children or their parents.

• No account creation required. The app works entirely offline without any sign-up or login.
• No personal data. We do not collect names, email addresses, photos, location data, contacts, or any other personally identifiable information.
• No analytics or tracking. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.
• No cookies or device identifiers. We do not collect device IDs, advertising identifiers, or use cookies.

3. Data Stored on Device

The app stores game progress (stars earned, coins, unlocked themes, and settings) locally on the device using Apple's UserDefaults. This data:

• Never leaves the device
• Is not transmitted to any server
• Is not accessible to us or any third party
• Can be deleted by uninstalling the app

4. In-App Purchases

Popsi offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (weekly and yearly) to unlock premium content. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to any payment information. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through Apple's subscription settings.

5. Third-Party Services

Popsi does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs. The app functions entirely offline. The only external service involved is Apple's StoreKit for processing in-app purchases, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Text-to-Speech

The app uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech (AVSpeechSynthesizer) to read instructions aloud to children. All speech synthesis is performed locally on the device. No audio data is transmitted externally.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Popsi is designed specifically for children under 13. We:

• Do not collect personal information from children
• Do not include behavioral advertising
• Do not allow social features, chat, or user-generated content sharing
• Do not link to external websites or social media (except policy pages accessible through parental settings)
• Protect all settings and external links behind a parental gate

8. Parental Controls

The app includes a parental gate (a simple math problem) to prevent children from accidentally accessing settings, subscription management, or external links. Parents can:

• Set screen time limits
• View their child's progress and play statistics
• Manage the subscription through Apple's settings
• Reset all game progress

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to retain or delete on our end. Local game progress stored on the device can be deleted by:

• Using the "Reset Progress" option in the app's settings (behind parental gate)
• Uninstalling the app

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage parents to review this policy periodically.
