Cleara AI cleans your photo library entirely on your device — your photos and videos never leave your iPhone. The free version of the app shows ads served by Google AdMob, which involves some data collection as described below. Cleara AI subscribers see no ads.

The short version

• No account, no sign-up, no login.
• Your photos and videos never leave your iPhone and are never uploaded.
• The free tier shows ads via Google AdMob, which may collect device and usage identifiers to deliver and measure ads.
• We ask your permission (Apple's App Tracking Transparency) before any personalized ads; if you decline, you still get ads, but non-personalized ones.
• Subscribing (or being in the free trial) removes all ads.

Your photos and videos

To find duplicates, blurry shots, screenshots, and large videos, Cleara AI reads your photo library on your device using Apple's Photos and Vision frameworks. This analysis runs entirely on your iPhone. No image, thumbnail, or analysis result is ever uploaded anywhere — including to our ad provider.

When you delete items, Cleara AI uses Apple's standard system deletion. Removed items go to your iOS Recently Deleted album and remain recoverable there for about 30 days before iOS permanently removes them.

Advertising (free tier)

If you use Cleara AI for free, we show occasional full-screen ads through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. To deliver and measure these ads, Google may collect and process:

• Device identifiers, including the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) — but only if you grant tracking permission — and other device/diagnostic identifiers;
• Advertising and usage data, such as ad interactions and general app usage;
• Coarse location inferred from your IP address.

This data is collected and used by Google as an independent third party in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Cleara AI does not receive your photos, contacts, or the contents of your library through advertising — ads only receive the limited technical data described above.

Your tracking choice (App Tracking Transparency)

Before serving personalized ads, Cleara AI presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asking for your permission to track. You can decline, and the app works exactly the same — you'll simply see non-personalized ads that don't use the IDFA for cross-app tracking. You can change or withdraw this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and you can remove ads entirely by subscribing.

Information we collect

Cleara AI itself has no server and does not collect or store your personal information off your device. Usage counters (such as how much space you've reclaimed) are stored only on your device to show your own progress. The only data collection is by Google AdMob for advertising, as described above, and only for users on the free tier.

Purchases

Cleara AI Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. Restoring a purchase uses your Apple ID via the App Store; we do not see your Apple ID.

Permissions

• Photos — required to scan and clean your library, on-device only.
• Tracking — optional, requested only to enable personalized ads on the free tier.
• Face ID — optional, used only to lock the app on your device.
• Notifications — optional, used only for local reminders. We never push from a server.

Children

Cleara AI is a general-audience utility, is not directed at children, and is not in the Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
